COMPOSITION: 1 tablet contains:

Doxycycline

INDICATION:

  • In dogs: Treatment of rhinitis, Bronchopneumonia caused by Bordetella spp. and Pasteurella spp.; interstitial nephritis caused by Leptospira spp., chronic and acute E.canis infection.
  • In cats: Treatment of respiratory tract infections caused by Bordetella bronchisepticaChlamydophila felis and Pasteurella spp.
  • In poultry: Treat respiratory infections, including Colibacillosis, Ornithosis complex, Staphylococcal infections, and other susceptible organisms.

DOSAGE:

For oral administration, for 5 – 7 consecutive days:

  • Dogs, cats: 1 tablet/ 5 kgs B.W./ day.
  • Bird, pigeons (0.8 – 1 kgs): ½ tablet/ bird daily.
  • Chicken, roosters: 1 tablet/ 2 kgs B.W/ day.

The majority of routine cases are expected to respond after between 5 – 7 days of therapy. Therapy should continue for 2 to 3 days beyond the clinical cure for acute infections. In chronic or refractory cases, a longer course of therapy, up to 14 days, may be required. In dogs with interstitial nephritis due to leptospirosis, treatment for 14 days is recommended.

In cats with C. felis infections, it is recommended to administer treatment for a minimum period of 28 days in order to ensure the elimination of the organism.

Tablets should be administered together with the food.

Withdrawal time: None.

Contra-indications:

  • Do not use for hypersensitive animals to Doxycyclines.
  • Do not use puppies and kittens under 30 days of age.

PRESERVATION: Store in a cool place and keep out of direct sunlight.
